Adding an AI Assistant: A Digital Advisor

One of the biggest gaps I found in my early research was the missing advisor. In a store, if you're unsure, someone helps you that reassurance is a huge part of why people feel confident enough to buy. Online, that person just isn't there.

So this week I added an AI assistant to The Raw Theory. It sits on the site as a point of contact for anyone browsing you can ask it about products, ingredients, what suits you, or anything you'd normally ask a person at a counter. The idea is to bring back that feeling of being guided rather than left to figure everything out alone.

This ties directly back to the third gap my whole project is built on: guidance. Trust and clarity I've tried to solve through branding and a clean interface, but guidance needed something more interactive. A static FAQ doesn't do it people want to ask, in their own words, and get an answer back. That's exactly what a real advisor does, and it's what the assistant is trying to replicate digitally.

It's early, but it feels like an important piece. It turns the site from something you just look at into something you can actually have a conversation with

which is a lot closer to how physical retail really works.
